How to Use Shark Liver Oil
Shark liver oil has been used in Scandinavia for ages for its medicinal properties. Extracted from the livers of cold-water sharks, the oil contains alkyglycerols, chemicals that help boost the immune system. According to the American Cancer Society, as of 2011 some studies are suggesting that shark liver oil may be effective in treating some cancers, as well as in reducing the side effects of chemotherapy, because it contains the chemicals squalamine and squalene. In the U.S. shark liver oil is sold as a dietary supplement that can help in fighting off infection and healing wounds.
