How to Send Christmas Cards to Soldiers in Iraq
While troops are stationed in Iraq during the holiday season, an uplifting and cheerful reminder in the form of a Christmas card can be a nice surprise. Your holiday greeting can let the soldiers know that people back home support their efforts abroad. Whether you are making a card or buying one, add a special message to brighten their day.

Send your Christmas card through the Letters From Home program, which sends greetings to troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Place your Christmas card in an unsealed envelope, and put that envelope in a sealed envelope. Mail the card to the following address:
Letters from Home Program

Use the Any Soldier website to search for a soldier stationed in Iraq. When you select the soldier who will receive your Christmas card, you will be given instructions for shipping the card to Iraq and then redirected to a "Where to Send" page. You can also send a care package to the soldier; however, according to the Any Soldier website, letters and cards are the most requested by soldiers.

Send your card directly to the soldier. If you have a family member stationed in Iraq and you know his address, you can mail the Christmas card directly using the Military Postal Service Agency (MPSA) or other international mailing service. If you do not know the address, request the military mailing address through the U.S. Department of Defense by providing as much information as you can -- for example, rank, full name, service number and military number. Addresses for those serving in the United States Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force can be accessed this way. The U.S. Army no longer participates in this service.
