Tips & Warnings

  • Always write down the names of everyone on the interview team before you leave the interview. You can also ask ahead of time so you know who to expect and can gather their e-mail addresses or mailing addresses in advance. Do not send a thank you through the mail if the position you interviewed for is going to be filled very quickly. Ask about the time frame for filling the position at the end of the interview. If it is less than one week, send an e-mail instead. Another option is to hand-write thank yous and drop them off at the school in person. Use your best handwriting for a written thank you. Teachers should have good handwriting, so impress them by keeping it legible.
