How to Print on PET Bottles
One of the biggest dangers to our environment is plastic bottles. To try to do our part to help our Earth and ecosystem, many people practice recycling their plastic. PET plastic is made out of recycled and reused materials. PET plastic is then made into water bottles, beverage bottles, cosmetics and other common items. PET plastics are also coded with the recycling number "1" on the bottom of the bottle so that you know you can recycle it again. But instead of throwing the PET bottle into your recycling bin--or worse, the trash--print your name on the bottle so you can reuse the PET bottle yourself.
Instructions

1
Remove the original label from the PET bottle.
-
2
Write on the plastic using a permanent marker. Even when washed, the permanent marker will stay on.

-
3
Print your name on the plastic using puff paint. Puff paint can be purchased in a variety of colors and even different styles--like metallic, flat or glitter. This is perfect to keep your kids' bottles separated from one another.

Take out your old hand label maker--or purchase one at any local office supply store--and turn it on. Type whatever you want to print out on the label maker. Press "Print" and a professional, small label will pop out. Remove the paper backing of the label and stick the label directly to the bottle.
-
5
Make professional labels using your computer and label print sheets. Type out what you'd like to print on the PET bottles--you can even add a picture or your company's logo. Adjust the size of the paper so that each printout will fit onto one label. Insert your label printing sheets into your printer then press "Print." Remove the paper backing of the labels then stick each label around each bottle. If you can't find label print sheets at an office supply store, check with a local store that specializes in home-brewing or wine making.
