How to Locate an HVAC Freon Certificate

Specialists who check, fill and recharge freon systems require an HVAC Freon Certificate. The certificate is posted in plain sight of customers so they know the specialist is licensed. Situations occur in which an HVAC Freon Certificate is misplaced, damaged or stolen. Locating a copy of the certificate is time consuming. Some states require a fee for a replacement certificate. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) within each state is the place to request a replacement for an HVAC Freon Certificate.
