How to Make Jewelry Out of Candy & Gum Wrappers

      Flatten and smooth the wrappers. Cut them in half to make long rectangles.

      Fold one rectangle in half lengthwise. Open the wrapper and then fold each half to the middle.

      Keep both sides folded to the middle and fold the wrapper lengthwise once again.

      Fold the wrapper crosswise in half, matching up the ends.

      Reopen the fold and then tuck the ends in toward the middle. The first link is complete. Repeat steps 1 to 5 until the desired number of links have been made.

      To join the wrappers together, tuck the ends of one link through the open slits of the next link. Push the wrapper all the way through the opening, forming an "L" shape. Continue adding a folded link to the previous link, forming a chain.

      Once the chain is the desired length, glue each end of the chain closed. Apply the glue to the ends only, leaving an opening for the closure. Let the glue dry thoroughly.
