Instructions for Fuzzy Flip-Flops
Fuzzy flip-flops can be worn by almost anyone. Women ages 2 to 102 can wear these stylish shoes. They can be worn in a dorm room, to the beach or out for a day of shopping. If you know how to make your own fuzzy flip-flops, you have the power to customize each pair according to your taste. Using chenille cord will give your fuzzy flip-flops that much-needed flair. Chenille cord is easy to find. It resembles a kind of fuzzy caterpillar with long tufts of fabric sticking out on all sides of the cord. So grab a pair of flip-flops and some chenille cord. You will soon have a pair of fuzzy flip-flops that everyone will envy.

1
Lay one flip-flop on a level flat surface in front of you. Gather all your materials, and undo any binding on your chenille cords. Having your materials ready and on hand makes it easier to grab what you need without having to stop what you are doing.
-
2
Find the "wishbone" band like structure on the flip-flop. When you begin crocheting, you start at one of the bottom ends of the wishbone band. As you crochet, you will follow up to the thong then down toward the other side of the wishbone band to finish.

3
Bring the two ends of each spool of cord together. This will create a thicker string for your flip-flop. Use the end of the string of yarn to tie a double knot at the bottom of one side of the wishbone band on the flip-flop. Pull tightly on the yarn to secure the knot.
-
4
Wrap some of the string around the crochet hook. Place the crochet hook underneath the band, hook some string then bring it back and grab some string on top of the band then pull through the hoop. Continue pulling string from underneath and above the band then pulling it through the hoops.
-
5
Continue crocheting around the flip-flop band until you reach the other end of the wishbone band. Use scissors to cut off the string. Leave six to seven inches of length to tie a double knot at the bottom on the band.
