How to Remove Rubber Cement From Microfiber Trousers
Prevent dropping rubber cement on your clothes by wearing an apron or craft bib when working with glue. Sometimes, however, spills are inevitable and you'll need to try to remove rubber cement as quickly as possible. The sooner you attack the stain, the easier it will be to remove. Things You'll Need
- Plastic spoon
- Mineral spirits
- Cloths
- Petroleum jelly
- Stain remover
- Toothbrush

Press the back of a plastic spoon against the microfiber trousers to remove as much of the rubber cement as possible. In some cases, you will be able to remove all of the stain.

Apply a small amount of mineral spirits to a cloth.

Dab the mineral spirits on the rubber cement residue until you remove it or as much of it as possible.

Lay the soaked cloth over the stained area for several hours if the residue is still visible. This will give it time to loosen the stain. Be aware that it might remove the color from some types of microfiber pants.

Apply a dollop of petroleum jelly to the glue residue if you can still see it.

Rub the jelly into the residue until you loosen it from the pant's surface. Roll off the rubber cement.

Dab a stain remover over the area and brush it into the trousers with a toothbrush.

Wash and dry the trousers as usual.
