How to Buy Car Tires in Ohio
Considering Ohio is home to the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, you should have no problem outfitting your vehicle with a set of tires in the Buckeye state. If you live in Ohio and wish to have warranties and service policies on your new tires within easy access, consider buying the tires at one of the chain tire dealerships in Ohio. Many chains offer warranty repairs at any of their stores, regardless of the purchase store location.

Write down the tire sizes you need for your auto. These numbers are an alphanumeric combination code on the tire sidewalls. Write down the year of your car, make and model.

2
Shop for tires and the best deal at any number of chain stores available in state. Conrad's Tire Express has locations in five different northern Ohio counties. Tire Source has several locations throughout the Akron area. Tire Discounters has locations throughout the Columbus, Cincinnati and Dayton areas. Each of these dealers offers warranties honored at all the companies' stores. For example, if you purchase a set of tires at a Conrad's in Cleveland, it will honor the warranty at any other Conrad's location.

Purchase all-weather tires for your vehicle if living in Ohio. For those just moving to the state, Northeast Ohio is known for lake-effect snow and ice. Good all-weather tires are recommended for these climates. For northeast Ohio dwellers, some tire experts recommend a set of winter tires as well as the all round tires. Winter tires should be switched out for safe winter driving during the winter months. Place the winter studded tires on between November 1 and April 15 according to Ohio law.

Search online classified ads or newspapers classifieds for sets of used tires if you are on a budget. Websites such as the Cincinnati, Cleveland or Columbus Craigslist have sections for auto parts and tires. The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Columbus Dispatch and the Cincinnati Enquirer are three of the largest newspapers of the state and cover the southern, central and northern portions of the state.
