How to Set Up Ladder Jacks
Ladder jacks are used as a ladder scaffolding system. They are designed to have ladders rest on them and are useful when working in one single area for a long amount of time or for correctly positioning a ladder. These jacks are not meant to be used more than 20 feet above the ground, and setting them up is the first step toward setting up a complete scaffolding system. In just a few minutes a ladder jack can be positioned and the scaffolding can be installed. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Position two extension ladders against the house. Lean them up so they are steady. Check to make sure they are on stable ground and will not move around or slide when in use.
-
2
Space the ladders out 2 feet less than the length of the plank that will be used. Make sure that both ladders are level.

3
Climb up the first ladder with the ladder jack to the desired height. Attach the ladder jack onto the rung of your ladder. Clip it in place facing the house so the plank has something to rest on once both have been installed.
-
4
Climb up the second ladder and repeat the same process by attaching the ladder jack in the exact same location on the ladder as the first jack. Secure it in place and make sure they are level and at the same height.
-
5
Slide a plank on them to verify that it is stable and at the right level.
