How to Make a Sports Bra Into a Nursing Bra
Nursing bras are convenient because you don't have to remove your bra to nurse your baby. But, they can be expensive. The good news is that you can turn your sports bra into a nursing bra and you don't have to be an expert seamstress to do it. You just need the right materials and a little bit of time.

1
Use scissors to cut one of the straps that is connected to the front of the bra. Cut the strap, but leave a 1-inch length of the strap still attached to the front part of the bra. Be sure to cut the strap completely so it is separated from the bra.
-
2
Sew a plastic hook to the end of the cut bra strap using a needle and thread. Make sure you only sew the top end of the hook to the bra strap and that the hook is facing towards you. The plastic hook has a square shape and the end with the largest opening is the end you will need to sew on to the strap.

3
Sew the bottom of the plastic eye to the 1-inch length of strap that you left at the front of the bra. The eye will have a rounded triangular shape with the bottom being the longer end.
-
4
Repeat the process with the other strap by cutting it and sewing on the plastic eye and hook.

5
Try on the nursing bra and hook and unhook the eyes and hooks to make sure they work correctly.

Tips & Warnings
You can use metal hooks and eyes if you like. However, they may not be as comfortable as the plastic hooks and eyes.
You can use a sewing machine if you like, but it will be more difficult than hand sewing it.
Choose plastic eyes and hooks that are the same color as the sports bra so they match.
