How to Remodel a Stainless Soap Dish
Stainless steel is a very durable material used in a number of different applications. Everything from storage containers to decorative items are made from stainless steel since the metal is rust resistant. Soap dishes are frequently made of stainless steel because of their constant exposure to water. Stainless steel soap dishes can be decorated to match the aesthetics of your bathroom. Things You'll Need
- Dish detergent
- White vinegar
- Spray bottle
- Salt
- Microfiber cloth
- Primer
- Low-grit sandpaper
- Oil-based acrylic paint
- Paint brush
- Decals and decorations (optional)

Dip the soap dish in warm water with a few drops of dish detergent and thoroughly wash it with a scrubbing sponge to remove any soap scum or debris.

Polish the steel by sprinkling several pinches of salt on it, spraying it with white vinegar and then wiping the vinegar and salt solution off with a microfiber cloth. This helps get rid of streaks as well.

Apply an epoxy primer to the soap dish with a brush to prepare it for painting. Allow it to dry fully.

Apply a low-grit sandpaper to the primer to help rough up the surface so the paint bonds to the primer. Use minimal pressure to avoid damaging the soap dish surface.

Paint the soap dish with an acrylic oil-based paint. Use various colors with a thinner brush if you wish to paint a design on it.

Add any additional accessories such as decals or glitter to further personalize the soap dish.
