How to Relieve Itching
Itchy skin is known as pruritus. The causes of itching can include skin conditions, allergic reactions, pregnancy and medications. Without treatment, prolonged itching will lead to complications. Skin constantly scratched will become thickened, discolored, raw -- and possibly infected by bacteria. Consulting with your physician can help you pinpoint the cause of your itching -- and there are various treatment methods which can provide some relief.
