How to Make Wind Chimes With Spoons & Forks
Creating wind chimes allows you to add a little beauty and music to your life. Using your old or mismatched silverware allows you to create a beautiful wind chime out of just forks and spoons. It makes a wonderful gift for anyone who loves cooking or works as an addition to your own back yard.
Things You'll Need
- Safety goggles
- 4 Spoons
- 2 Forks
- Drill
- 1/16th inch drill bit
- Pliers
- Sandpaper for metal
- Fishing line

Put on your safety goggles.

Add the bit to the drill. Use the drill to create a hole in each spoon and one fork 1/8th inch from the top of the handle.

Use sandpaper over the holes to smoothen the edges.

Drill a hole just above the tines of the other fork. Sand the edges of the hole.

Use the pliers to bend each fork tine to a 90-degree angle. Bend the tines in alternating directions.

Use the pliers to bend each tine into a loop.

Use the pliers to bend the fork handle into a hook. You will hang the final product from this hook.

Thread each of the spoons with fishing line. Vary the lengths of the fishing line. Tie the fishing line to hold each spoon.

Thread the fishing line to the fork handle. Leave 6 inches of fishing line. Tie the fishing line to hold the fork.

Thread the fishing line of the fork to the hole above the fork tines. Tie the fishing line to hold in place.

Tie each of the spoons to a looped fork tine. All spoons bowls should hit the handle of the fork.

Add decorative beads to the fishing line to enhance visual appeal.
