How to Put Your Own Music on "The Sims" for PS2

Released in January 2003 for PS2, "The Sims" allows players to create virtual worlds where Sims characters can live and work. You can build houses, learn skills, even throw birthday parties. If you don't want to listen to the monotonous background tune while playing the game, you can add your own music to customize your gaming experience.

Instructions

      Open the file using the path "My Documents," "EAGames," "TheSims," then "Music."

      Select the radio station that will play the music of your choice and double-click on the folder icon.

      Select the MP3 files you want to play and drag it to that folder.

      Initiate "The Sims." Look for the menu options that appear. Select "Music/ Audio Settings" from the options icon. Once you see the menu on display, it will show the radio station with songs selected by you. This Radio Station will display the songs in a listed format. Listen to the song of your choice by clicking on the check box that appears next to the track .

      Click "Audio Setting" again to close the window.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the list contains songs that you do not wish to hear at the moment, just click on the check box to deselect the songs.

  • For automatic selection of the radio to play, click the "Turn on" option.

  • Select different radio station folders to hear your songs no matter which station you have selected.

  • Click on the radio station of your choice by selecting the "Switch to" option. This window will display all the stations previously created by you.

  • To play your favorite songs in a sequence, click on the radio while it is still playing, and choose the next track.
