How to Reduce a Picture's Size

Pictures downloaded to your computer from a camera or the Internet often are much bigger than expected. You can reduce your picture's size by using your computer's picture editing software. Most images are measured in pixels or inches, depending on the software you are using. Reducing the measurements makes the photo smaller.

Click "Image" in the toolbar at the top and select "Size," "Resize" or "Scale."

Enter the inches or pixel number to which you want to reduce the picture. Its current size is displayed horizontally and vertically.
