How to Use Quickbooks With Speech

The Windows operating system includes a native "Ease of Access" tool designed to take the text that is being displayed on your monitor and translate it into speech. This is to help people who may be hard of hearing or blind still be able to use a computer. This text to speech feature works with anything you display on your computer, including the Quickbooks accounting software.

Instructions

1. Open Quickbooks. When you installed Quickbooks, a new shortcut icon was created and placed on your desktop. Double-click the "Quickbooks" icon.

2. Click "Start."

3. Click "All Programs."

4. Click "Accessories."

5. Choose "Ease of Access" and click "Narrator." This will load the native Windows text-to-speech utility, which will read along the content on screen as you navigate through Quickbooks on your computer.
