Instructions

    • 1

Bake the cupcakes according to the package directions. Once cooled, ice the cupcake with chocolate frosting.

    • 2

Put the frosting in a plastic bag, drop 4 drops of black food coloring and squish until the color is uniform. Cut a "V" shape in two of the marshmallows for the ears. Place them at the top of the cupcake 2 inches apart. Use a smear of frosting to attach the ears to the cupcake's surface. Make the muzzle by cutting a "V" shaped notch in another marshmallow. This becomes the werewolf's howling mouth. Attach with a smear of frosting to the lower half of the cupcake's top. To continue making the mouth, cut a 2-inch oval shape out of the red fruit leather. Stick it on the marshmallow and trim off any extra.

Snip the corner of the bag with the black frosting in it. Pipe the frosting on the ears, using a long vertical stroke. Next, to make the fur, start at the center of the cupcake and pipe the frosting to the edge of the cupcake going around the entire cupcake. Start another layer of fur, by going around the cupcake again slightly overlapping the first layer. Continue with the fur all the way to the werewolf's red mouth. Insert two hard, brightly colored candies below the ears for the werewolf's eyes. Insert them at an angle to make them look like slits.

Spoon 1/8 cup of the white frosting in a plastic bag. Make a 1/16 inch slit in the plastic bag. Pipe around the fruit leather mouth making the fangs. Use a short, quick motion for these teeth. Place a black jelly bean in the middle of the werewolf for his nose.
