1
Place a warm compress over the infected area. Hold it directly over the ingrown pimple for 10 to 15 minutes. Repeat this step up to three times a day. The heat helps draw out the puss that is in the area and makes it easier for the hair to come out of the tissue.

2
Do not shave over the infected area. The razor's blade can cause the pimple to become more inflamed. Instead, let the hair grow out. Once it grows the hair will no longer be trapped inside your skin.

3
Avoid wearing tight clothing around the area of the ingrown pimple. Tight clothing can irritate the ingrown pimple.
-
4
Wash away any bacteria that may be trapped in your skin -- use warm water and antibacterial soap.

Tips & Warnings
In the future, when you shave your hair, try exfoliating your skin first. By exfoliating you are removing dead skin that contributes to ingrown pimples. Rather than shaving, try using a depilatory cream for your hair removal. The cream works by dissolving the hair structure and can prevent future ingrown pimples.
Despite the temptation, you should avoid popping pimples as this could lead to your skin scarring.
