How to Erase Temp Files & Cookies
A browser's temporary files contains Web page content that is stored on your computer's hard drive. The storing of the files allows for faster viewing of Web pages you previously visited. Cookies are stored information such as passwords or information needed to view a Web page. Temporary files and cookies can be erased from your computer for any number of reasons, including privacy or to free up space on your computer.

Click the "Start" menu button and select the "Control Panel."

Click "Network and Internet." Click "Internet Options."

Click the "General" tab and scroll down to "Browsing History." Click "Delete."

Check the "Temporary Internet Files" and "Cookies" check boxes.

Click "Delete." A dialog box will appear with the progress of the process.
