How to Play a BM Chord on a Guitar
The B minor chord can help you play many contemporary and classical music pieces. B minor is the relative minor of the D major chord. Many times a song in the key of D major will use B minor chord. You can play this chord by positioning your fingers on the third and fourth frets of the guitar and strumming the strings in one fluid motion.

Place your left index finger on the third fret of the second string. Lay your index finger down on the fretboard, covering the four strings above the second string.

Place your fourth finger on the fourth fret of the third string.

Position your fifth finger on the fourth fret of the fourth string.

Place your middle finger on the third fret of the fifth string.

Press all of your fingers down on the strings. Your fingers must hold the five strings against the fretboard.

Strum the five strings that your fingers cover with a guitar pick or a finger, in one quick motion. The chord should consist of one complete sound and not a series of noises.
