1
Research wedding dress designs and learn the different shapes. These will become your basic templates when drawing wedding dresses. A-line dresses are fitted at the top with a fuller skirt. Column dresses and empire line dresses are straight, the first fitted and the second flowing. Mermaid dresses are fitted, but flare beneath the knees, and corset dresses are tied down the back.

2
Draw a woman's outline. Use a wooden model or copy a photo. This outline is the model on which you will draw your wedding dresses.

3
Pick the basic dress shape that you want to draw. Begin drawing the top of the dress and work your way to the bottom. Copy the dress onto the sketched model. Sketch lightly so you can erase mistakes. Erase any lines of the model which are inside the dress, or erase the whole model if you prefer.

4
Add detail to the basic shape. Look at other wedding dresses for inspiration. You can draw ribbon, bows, lace, flowers, organza and beads.
-
5
Color any details which you don't want to be white.
