How to Make a Cross String Beaded Bracelet
There are many ways to make a friendship bracelet, and one of the easiest techniques is the cross string or "cross knot." You can embellish the simple design of the cross knot bracelet by creating a pattern with different colors of beads. The materials you need to make a cross knot beaded bracelet are found where craft supplies are sold, and make sure that you pay attention to the size of the hole in the bead in relation to the thickness of the string you use.

1
Measure and cut four pieces of embroidery floss to at least 2 feet long. Align the ends of the floss and tie them together at one end, about 2 inches from the ends. Clip the tied end in a clip board and weigh it down with heavy books to make it easier for you to work with. Divide the pieces into two on the left and two on the right.

2
Feed a bead onto the two pieces of embroidery floss on the left and slide it all the way down to the knot. Tie an overhand knot around the string on the right with the string on the left, directly underneath the bead.

3
Add another bead to the pieces on the right and tie them around the strings on the left. Keep alternating sides and adding beads until you have about 2 inches of string left from the end. Tie a knot with all four pieces of embroidery floss to finish the bracelet.
