How to Use Corel Paint Shop Pro X
Corel Paint Shop Pro X is graphics-editing software that enables you to edit photos, create graphics, draw and paint. The latest version aims to enhance your ability to work with digital photographs and touch up other graphics and images; the new Red Eye tool, Makeover tool and One Step tool allow you to enhance images with a click. Paint Shop Pro X also includes a Learning Center palette that helps you get oriented with the software. After you learn how to use this palette and the Help center, the most comprehensive information source in the software, you will be able to use Paint Shop Pro effortlessly.

Use the Learning Center Palette

Open Corel Paint Shop Pro X. Display the Learning Center palette if it is not already displayed along the left side of the main window. Click "Palettes" from the "View" menu, then click the "Learning Center" option.

Choose a task, such as "Get Photos," from the Learning Center Home page. The topics relating to the task, such as "Browse," "Download," "Scan" and "Capture," appear.

Click a topic. To browse for photos to import from your PC, click the "Browse" topic after clicking "Get Photos." The procedure for the selected topic appears. If you choose a tool from the topics dialog, the tool becomes active and the Tool Options palette appears.

Read the procedure for the selected topic.

Click the "Help" menu and then click "Help Topics" if you can't find the task you're looking for in the Learning Center.
Fix Photos Using the Learning Center Palette

Open the photo you want to fix. Choose "Get Photos" from the Learning Center Home page, then click "Browse." Navigate to your photo, then double-click the photo thumbnail.

Click "Adjust" from the Home page, then click "Crop." The crop window superimposes on your photo.

Drag the sides or corners of the crop window to eliminate unneeded extra space in the photo.

Click the "Apply" button in the Tool Options palette to crop the photo.

Fix the photo using the "One Step Photo Fix" command. Click "Adjust" from the Home page, then click "One Step Photo Fix." Adjustments are automatically applied to the photo, improving colors and detail.
