How to Make Crocs Shoe Charms
Decorate your classic Crocs with little charms attached to the shoes through the ventilation holes in the top. You can decorate the shoes with store-bought charms, but they are going to cost you. Save your money and create charms that are truly representative of your personal taste by making your own Croc shoe charms with some recycled or newly bought shank buttons and plain cuff links. With a few minutes of assembly time and a couple days of glue-drying time you can dress up those plain Crocs for a fraction of the cost.
Things You'll Need
- Decorative shank buttons
- Button shank remover
- Clear-drying epoxy
- Blank cufflinks

1
Clip the shank off the back of each decorative button you want to turn into a charm. To remove the shanks just snip one side of the shank off at a time with the wire-snip-like tool.
-
2
Place a small dot of epoxy on the back of each button where the shank was. Let the epoxy set for a couple minutes before attaching a blank cuff link to the back of each button by placing the flat part of the link in the epoxy.

Let the epoxy set for 48 hours before putting the charms on your Crocs by pushing the non-button end of the links through the holes on the top of the shoes.

Tips & Warnings
Check thrift stores and garage sales for both buttons and cuff links you can use to make your charms.
Use items other than shank buttons to make your charms, such as silk flowers, just know that these charms might not hold up as well as those made with buttons.
Work in a well-ventilated area as the fumes from the epoxy will be strong.
