How to Sew a Bed Roll Pillow

Standard pillows do not always offer the support your neck needs.

A bed roll pillow is a small, round pillow that is placed behind the neck for support and often stuffed with grain or batting. It is also used as a decorative pillow. When making your own bed roll pillow, you don't need to know your way around a sewing machine, and you can make it as large or round as you like.

Things You'll Need

• Fabric
• Scissors
• Batting or foam
• Ribbon (no more than 12 inches)
• Tassels (optional)

Instructions

1. Cut your fabric for your bed roll pillow. You want a rectangle piece of fabric to work with.

2. Prepare your stuffing material. This can be batting or foam.

3. Place your stuffing at one end of the fabric and tightly roll up the fabric. Leave 4 to 5 inches on both sides of the foam or batting.

4. Wrap ribbon around the ends closest to the batting or foam.

Tips & Warnings

• You can fold the top and bottom of the fabric in before placing the batting or foam down so that the edges of the fabric are smooth.
