Directions for a Rival Yogurt & Ice Cream Freezer
The Rival Yogurt & Ice Cream Freezer is an electrical ice cream maker that can make several kinds of frozen desserts. Store-bought frozen treats can be expensive, and they may also contain artificial coloring and chemicals. Unlike store-purchased frozen desserts, you can add your own wholesome flavorings and ingredients, knowing your ice cream or yogurt will come out just the way you like them. Does this Spark an idea?

Rinse the freezer can with soap and water. Wipe dry, place the storage lid back on the can and place it in the freezer overnight.

Place the ice bucket firmly on the motor drive and rotate it until it is securely in place.

Take the freezer can out of the fridge. Pour your frozen dessert mixture until it fills half the can. The mixture will expand during the freezing process.

Place the stirrer into the freezing can. Make sure it fits the indentation at the bottom of the freezing can.

Place the support arm cover on the lid to hold the freezing can in place.

Plug the Rival yogurt and ice cream freezer into an electrical outlet. The unit will automatically turn on.

Pour a cup of cold water into the ice bucket while the machine is running. Pour one tray of ice cubes evenly around the freezing can. Pour 1/3 cup of iodized salt all around the ice. Continue pouring layers of ice and salt until it reaches the top of the ice bucket. Add more layers of ice and salt when the ice melts to maintain the original level.

Unplug your machine after 40 minutes or until the motor stops. If the motor stops before 40 minutes, check the motor for jammed ice.

Remove the support arm and carefully lift the freezing can out of the ice bucket. Wipe off salt and ice with a clean towel.

Lift the stirrer out of the freezing can. Scoop out the ice cream using a rubber spatula or spoon and transfer to bowls.
