How to Remove Ink From Ferrari Leather

If a pen drops on your Ferrari leather, an ink mark or spot may be left behind. Promptly cleaning the stain will ensure the ink can be removed from the leather seats. If you allow the ink to set into the leather, it can be much more difficult, if not impossible, to remove. Only leather ink removers should be used to lift the ink from the seat. Any other process could damage or discolor the leather.

Things You'll Need

• Leather ink stick
• Cotton cloth
• Leather cleaner

Instructions

1. Rub a leather ink stick or leather ink removal product into the ink stain on the Ferrari leather, as quickly as possible. If you allow the ink to work into the seat for longer than five days, the ink may only lighten, rather than completely disappear.

2. Allow the product to work into the ink stain for 30 seconds.

3. Use a soft, white cloth to wipe the ink and ink remover from the leather. Do not leave the ink stick on the leather for an extended period of time, or it may seep into the leather, causing a stain.

4. Rub a leather cleaner into the area. Wipe the cleaner away with a cotton cloth. Repeat the process until the stain is removed.

Tips & Warnings

• Never use alcohol to clean ink from your leather seats. Although it will remove the ink, it will also remove the protective coating from the leather.
