How to Be Invited to a Music Camp
During the summer months, many students have free time to pursue extracurricular activities such as academic summer school, sporting events or other hobbies and interests. Enrolling in a music camp is a fairly easy process once you have researched music camp possibilities. It is an effective and fun way for your child to improve her musical skills and to develop potentially lifelong friendships.

Research music camps to which you might send your child. You can do this by searching online for a local camp, speaking with other parents and teachers, or picking up summer schedules or program lists that may be provided by your child's school. If your child currently has a private music instructor, he may also be able to recommend a music camp.
Factors to take into consideration in the choice are the cost, space availability, music programs and your child's comfort level. Your child may feel more comfortable joining the same music camp as his friends or may prefer to stay close to home.

Complete the registration form, which may be found either on the organization's website or by calling to request an information packet. You may submit this form online or by postal mail.

Mail a recent photo of your child and the requested deposit amount to the organization along with a copy of your registration form. This will reserve your child a spot in the music camp.

Pay the remaining balance of the enrollment fee before the session begins. Ask about upfront, family or early enrollment discounts to save money.
