How to Print Custom Magnets
Customized magnets provide function and decoration for a refrigerator or metal surface. You can print custom magnets to create a holiday greeting, save-the-date or personalized gift. Using a computer program such as Word allows you to choose from a number of templates with various themes, sizes and options, so you can print and craft your magnets from home.

- Flat square or rectangular magnets
- Adhesive label sheets
- Computer
- Printer
- Scissors

Consider the size of magnets you want to customize. Purchase blank magnets from a craft store and adhesive labels with similar dimensions from a craft or office supply store.

Click the icon for Microsoft Office Word 2007 on your computer's desktop to open the program. Click the circular icon in the top left corner on the new document page. Scroll down and click on "New" to open a menu of templates.

Scroll down and click "Labels" for access to label templates. Click "Stickers," "Gift Labels," "Tags" or "Other Labels" to search through various templates that you may consider for your customized magnets.

Look at your label package to find the dimensions of your labels or the brand and associated code. Match your label dimensions or brand and code with the description given for each template. Click the option of your choice that fits the dimensions or brand of your labels to gain access to the download option. Click "Download" in the bottom right corner to access the template. You mat have to wait a couple seconds for the template to download.

Customize the sticker or label by typing in a personalized message. If you'd like to add a picture, click "Insert" to look through pictures saved in folders on your computer. Click on a picture to upload it onto the label.

Center your picture or written text by clicking the "Control" and "E" keys at the same time. Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for each label on the page.

Make sure your printer is turned on. Take the labels out of their package and put them in your printer's paper feed.

Click the circular icon on the top left corner of your document page. Scroll down and click "Print." "Click "Print" again on the drop down menu that appears. Click "OK" to print your labels.

Allow your labels to dry for two minutes. Place your finger on the top of one label to make sure the ink is dry. Put a magnet on a flat and clean working surface. Remove a customized label from the label page. Place the adhesive side of the label onto the magnet so that it is centered. Apply pressure to affix the label to the magnet.

Trim or shape around the magnet with scissors to remove excess label if the size of the label is larger than that of the magnet. Repeat Steps 9 and 10 for each magnet and label.
