Instructions

    • 1

Get a white jump suit with bell bottoms and wide sleeves. Elvis is known for several looks, among which is the white jumpsuit look. Costumes purchased in the store are often a white jumpsuit with a sequin or rhinestone design. It is possible to use a regular white suit jacket and alter the jacket for the signature Elvis look with open jacket that is tucked in at the back, but the jumpsuit looks similar without the trouble of trying to change a suit.

    • 2

Select a button-up shirt beneath the suit. The button up shirt can come in any preferred color. Elvis wore anything from red to blue to purple to yellow, so there is plenty of selection.

    • 3

Iron on some sequins or glue on some jewels. The Elvis look is flashy and bright and sequins or jewels make the jumpsuit brighter and more noticeably Elvis-looking. Put the sequins near the collar of the jump suit, around the legs and on the sleeves as preferred.

    • 4

Add the large belt, sunglasses, scarf and wig to the costume. A common costume scarf is often red in color. The Elvis wig needs large sideburns and should fluff up and over the forehead.

    • 5

Piece it together and add a microphone or guitar to complete the look. Practice the Elvis songs and dance steps as preferred.
