How to Configure the VoIP in Alcatel Pbx
Business telephone systems typically handle a combination of multiple traditional phone lines and connections to Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP) networks. Those systems are largely implemented by Private Branch Exchanges (PBXs): specialized computers that multiplex a limited number of lines over many possible users and provide special services like voicemail, connections inside the company and call forwarding. A telephone system administrator can easily configure a PBX of the Alcatel brand so that it connects user calls to VoIP networks in a seamless way.
Things You'll Need
- Card to connect the Alcatel PBX to the specific type of trunk that will carry the VoIP calls (e.g., ISDN or T1)
- Administrator access to the PBX
