Take pictures of your surroundings with your Omni 2 digital camera.

The Omni 2, a digital camera that shoots both still and video, typically has about 1 GB of memory. The Japanese digital camera is used much like American digital cameras. You can take pictures, save the pictures and load the pictures onto the computer for editing. The Omni 2 HN-120X uses special drivers, located on a CD, that must be installed before connecting the camera to your computer. Typically, the camera will ship with this CD.

Instructions

      Insert batteries. Press the battery guard and slide the battery cover away from the camera. Insert three AAA batteries, matching the polarities according to the diagram printed on the camera. Replace the battery cover.

      Power on the camera. Hold the "on/off" switch. This switch is located on the left side of the camera, at the top of the camera.

      Change the mode by turning the dial located on the back of the camera on the right. Turn the dial to the image of a camcorder to take videos. Turn the dial back to the image of a camera to take pictures.

      Click the shutter release button to take a picture.

      Set the timer. Turn the dial to the picture of a black and white photograph. A stop watch will appear on the camera's screen. This stop watch counts down to when the camera will take the picture. Typically, you will want to set the camera on a tripod or table before you set the timer.

      Turn the camera off by holding the "on/off" button.

      Insert the CD with the drivers into the computer. Follow the installation instructions to install the program. Double-click on the program.

      Attach the camera to the computer using the USB cable that came with the camera. Turn the dial on the camera to the green image. Allow the pictures to transfer.
