How to Make a Steam Bath With Your Bathtub
Steam bathing is not only an effective way to relax your body, but also has numerous benefits to your health. Some of the major benefits include the elimination of toxins from your body, muscle and stiff joint relief, improved blood flow, immune system boosts and stress relief. Furthermore, steam rooms are a great and natural way to improve any respiratory problems you may have such as allergies, asthma or bronchitis. For those who can't make it out to a steam room regularly, you can create a steam bath environment with your bathtub at home.

Plug the drain in your bathtub and turn the water on to the hottest possible setting. Make sure the fan in your bathroom is turned off.

Close the bathroom door and put a towel down along the crack of the door. This prevents any steam from leaving the bathroom.

Sit down on another towel in the middle of the bathroom. You'll want to remove all your clothes when you do this as you'll be dripping sweat within a few minutes.

Turn the faucet off when the tub gets full. Remain seated outside of the tub, relaxing in the steam until the water has cooled off to a comfortable level for you. Enter the the tub and soak in it and clean off all the sweat.

Add aromatherapy drops to your tub to enhance the smell of your steam room.
Leave the steam room immediately if you start feeling weak or dizzy.
