Instructions

    • 1

Untie, unbutton or un-Velcro the kilt where it is fastened. There are several varieties of sports kilts on the market. Many come with a Velcro fastener, due to its ease of operation. However, if the sports kilt comes with a tie or button, which will be located on the inside of the waist, then untie or unbutton this feature.

    • 2

Wrap the kilt around your waist. The flat part of the kilt, which is not pleated, should be directly in the middle of the body. Pleats, if they exist, should be in the back and pockets on the sides.

    • 3

Fasten the kilt by tying, buttoning or pressing the Velcro pieces together.

    • 4

Accessorize your sports kilt with the appropriate attire, based on the sport you will participate in while wearing the kilt. Traditionally, a kilt is worn without underwear, which is ideal in sports scenarios to prevent chafing. Only accessorize your kilt with items that are appropriate to your particular sport.
