From dainty flowers and butterflies on a child's face to the blazing streaks on football fans, face painting has become a common theme from craft shows and parties to hockey and football games. Eventually the paint needs washed away. A quick scrub may not remove all the paint, which can clog pores. Remove face paint correctly so your face will feel and look clean. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 1 to 2 tbsp. cold cream
  • Washcloth
  • 1 tsp. gentle facial cleanser
  • Hand towel
  • 1 tsp. facial moisturizer

Instructions

    • 1

      Scoop 1 to 2 tbsp. cold cream onto your fingers. Spread the cold cream generously over the paint on your face.

      Moisten a washcloth with water. Gently wipe the cold cream and paint from your face. Rinse the cloth with warm water after each swipe.

      Place a small amount of cold cream or eye makeup remover onto any paint on the eyelids. Wipe the cream and paint from your eyelids with the damp washcloth.

      Pour 1 tsp. gentle facial cleanser into the palm of your hand and apply to the face, rubbing the soap gently into the skin. Rinse the skin with warm water and pat dry with a hand towel.

      Apply 1 tsp. facial moisturizer to the entire face to replenish oils removed during the paint removal and cleaning process.
