Driving presents the freedom to create your own schedule or travel spontaneously, but you will need a valid driver's license. Things You'll Need

• U.S. or Canadian driver's license
• International driver's permit (optional)

Instructions

1. Check with the Department of Motor Vehicles, if you are a U.S. citizen, to determine the validity of your driver's license. If your trip to Ireland is less than six months long, a valid U.S. or Canadian driver's license that you have had for longer than six months will be sufficient.
