How to Wash Supima Cotton Sheets
Pima cotton, grown in the United States, Australia and Peru, is a long cotton that is stronger than other cottons. Supima, the U.S.-based company that grows pima cotton and whose name is often associated with the cotton itself, manufactures bed sheets out of this cotton. These bed sheets, though made specifically out of pima cotton, can be washed and dried just like any other cotton bed sheet. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Clean out the contents of the washing machine before washing your sheets. Your sheets should be washed alone to avoid pilling.
-
2
Start the washing machine with the water temperature set at "Cool" or "Warm" and the wash type set at "gentle." Add a mild detergent to the washing machine as the water is filling up. Make sure the detergent is fully dissolved before adding the sheets to the water.

-
3
Remove the sheets from the bed and ball them up. Place the balled-up sheets into the washing machine. Wrapping the sheets around the washing machine's agitator can stretch out and damage the sheets and could potentially damage the washing machine as well.
-
4
Remove the sheets from the washer once the cycle finishes.
-
5
Hang the sheets on a clothes line to dry if possible. If hang drying is not possible, place the sheets in the dryer and set the dryer on the "Air Tumble" setting. Heat damages sheets, so avoid heat at all costs when washing and drying.
-
6
Remove the sheets from the line or dryer when they are completely dry.
