How to Stop the Ring on an Avaya Phone

Avaya phones assist businesses in managing their communication needs. The phones have many features such as auto attendant, automatic line selection, extension name display and the ability to stop ringing. If you wish to program the voice-mail system to answer on the first ring, or simply wish to work without being interrupted, you will need to turn the ringer off. Although turning the ringing off may seem intimidating, programming this feature is actually quick and simple.

Instructions

1. Press "feature," followed by 00.

2. Press the left intercom button two times.

3. Press the right intercom button once from extension 10.

4. Dial the extension number of the phone for which you wish to stop the ring. A green light will light up next to the line you are changing.

5. Push the line until the green light begins to flutter quickly.
