How to Reset the Parental Lock on a 2700 Satellite Receiver
The Pansat 2700a satellite receiver comes with a parental lock option that allows you to block certain channels from viewing. If you need to reset the parental lock on the receiver, you have the option of creating a new password and choosing which channels to lock or unlock. In order to do this, however, you need to know the current password.

Press "Menu" on the remote to bring up the main menu. Highlight "Parental Controls" and select "OK."

Enter the current parental lock password when prompted.

Enter a new password, then re-enter the new password to confirm it.

Press "Menu" on the remote and select "Channel Edit." Select the "P-LOCK" option, then select the channel you either want to lock or unlock. Choosing an unlocked channel results in a lock symbol appearing next to that channel, indicating you have locked it.

Select the channel you want to unlock and press "OK." Enter the new password you created when prompted to unlock the channel.

If you are unsure of the password for the parental controls, try the default password of "0000."
