How to Recycle Bollards
Bollards are vertical poles made of steel, plastic, glass, wood or concrete. Some bollards are made from recycled tires or plastic. These short posts are regularly used to separate roadways and walkways, to divert traffic and to define parking spots. Bollards were originally used on ship decks or wharfs as mooring posts. Depending on their material, bollards can be crushed and recycled or reused on other construction projects. Local construction recycling centers and salvage yards should be able to re-purpose a bollard easily.
