How to Reset Sonicwall Pro 200

Whether you are encountering frequent crashes or if you cannot access your SonicWALL account, it might be best if you do a full reset on your Pro 200 firewall. Doing a reset on your SonicWALL restores the device to its original factory settings. After resetting it, you will have to reconfigure the device back to the settings you had before and start anew.

Instructions

    • 1

      Flip the power switch to turn off your SonicWALL.

    • 2

      Unplug the network cables from the SonicWALL, but keep the power plug in.

    • 3

      Press and hold the "Reset" switch on the back, then turn the power switch back on while still holding the "Reset" switch.

      Release the "Reset" switch when the "Test" light starts to flash.

    • 5

      Wait for the "Test" light to stay lit instead of flashing, then log in to your SonicWALL administration site (http://192.168.168.168).

    • 6

      Click "Browse" and download the firmware file that appears.
