How to Upload Pictures From a CD

You can see the pictures in a photo CD by using a photo browser, but by uploading the pictures to your computer, you can edit them, catalog them or upload them to a website. While some photo library software will provide the option to upload the photos to your computer, not all will. When that's the case, you can browse through the disc's contents in Explorer and find the photographs, then it's a simple matter of copying and pasting.

Instructions

1. Insert your photo CD.

2. Click "Open files in Windows Explorer" if the AutoPlay dialog appears; otherwise, click "Start," select "Computer," right-click the CD and click "Explore."

3. Double-click each folder until you open a folder of images. When you find them, you are ready to copy them.

4. Press "Ctrl" and "A" simultaneously to select all of the images and "Ctrl" and "C" simultaneously to copy the selection.

5. Click "Start," and choose your user name.

6. Browse to a location to store your images, and press "Ctrl" and "V" simultaneously to add them to the selected location.
