How to Remove Links From the MySpace General, Music, Movies & Books Sections

While MySpace provides customization for your profile page to give it a personal flair, it comes with a risk of adding damaged or corrupt links and HTML code. While the links won't cause your page to crash, they will appear damaged whenever you or any other user views your MySpace profile. Thankfully, the links are easily removable through editing your profile settings, which provide a user-friendly layout to add or remove content.

Instructions

    • 1

Move your cursor to the "My Stuff" tab and click "Edit Profile."

    • 2

Click "Interests" and highlight the HTML code in the General, Music, Movies and Books field. Press "Delete" or "Backspace."

    • 3

Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the MySpace page.

Tips & Warnings

  • Highlight the links from the categories, and cut-and-paste them one by one into a separate document if you are unsure which HTML code is causing your profile to appear jumbled. After each link is removed, click "Save" and view your profile to determine if the removed link was the cause of your profile error.

  • Contact MySpace tech support if your profile remains disorganized.
