How to Keep Sugar Cookies From Sticking Together

Sugar cookie dough expands quite a bit during baking, often causing the cookies to run into each other and stick. This is a very common problem, but can be fixed by controlling the size of the cookies and how far apart they are placed on the pan. You can use this technique with any kind of dough, whether it is prepackaged, made with a mix or made from scratch. Once baked, sugar cookies may stick together if stacked on top of one another; this problem is easily avoided. Does this Spark an idea?
