Instructions

  1. Trilene Knot

    • 1

Insert the end of the Trilene line into the eye of the hook. Double the line back through the eye of the hook.

    • 2

Wrap the line you've just run through the hook eye around the main line five times.

    • 3

Thread the end of the line through the loop in the line where it joins the hook eye.

    • 4

Wet the line with saliva or water.

    • 5

Pull the tag end of the line to tighten the knot. Snip extra line beyond the knot.

    Palomar Knot

    • 6

Double 6 inches of line, forming a loop.

    • 7

Insert the loop into and through the eye of the hook.

    • 8

Wrap the loop around the main fishing line, as if to tie an overhand knot (the knot you would use to tie a knot in your shoelaces).

    • 9

Open the loop and pass the hook through it.

    • 10

Pull on the end of the loop and the main line to tighten the knot. Snip extra line beyond the knot.
