There are many arcade games available to play online. You an also create your own arcade games. There are a few websites that will allow you to build your own arcade games for free. You do not have to be a professional game developer in order to use these websites. They are simple enough for any gamer to take advantage of.

Instructions

      Go to the Game Scene website (see Resources).

      Click on "Make your own game." Install Shockwave if you do not already have it on your computer (the site will give you the option to download Shockwave). Shockwave is necessary in order to view the graphics and play the game.

      Create and enter the name of your game.

      Choose from classic arcade game elements that Game Scene offers. Follow the instructions for creating your game.

      Save and play your game. You can also copy and paste the html code at the bottom of the screen to share your game with others via e-mail or social networking.

    Sploder

      Go to Sploder website (see Resources).

      Select the "Make a Game" tab at the top of the page.

      Pick which game you want to create. The site provides you with three choices of arcade-style games to create.

      Personalize your game by picking your characters, game objectives and obstacles.

      Save and play your arcade game.

    My Game

      Go to the My Games website (see Resources).

      Click "Create Games" at the top of the screen.

      Select the game you want to create.

      Upload a photo for your character or search online for a photo. Follow the instructions for creating your game.

      Save and play your game. You are also give the option to share it on Facebook so others can experience your game.
