How to Join the Pokemon Fan Club

For avid Pokemon players, joining a fan club is often a good way to advance their gaming skills. Fan clubs let players engage in mock tournaments or friendly game play, or trade cards with fellow fans, as well as giving fans a place to discuss games and changes in rules or cards. Fan clubs can also be a place to make friends with individuals who share a common interest.

Instructions

1. Look for clubs online. Check with Pokemon fan sites, such as the official site (see Resources), to locate any game play activity or game fans in your area.

2. Participate in Pokemon tournaments. Local fan clubs should make an appearance at tournaments. If you don't see a clearly marked group, ask around. You can find tournaments on Pokemon's official site under "Organized Play."

3. Ask at local comic or game shops. Game shops rely on a local community for traffic and sales, so the owner or employees may know of a local organization. If they have a bulletin board, look for fliers.
