How to Use a One-Line Answering Machine on a Two-Line Phone

How to Use a One-Line Answering Machine on a Two-Line Phone thumbnail
You can connect just about any telephone to a one-line answering machine.

Many land-line based telephones come with the option of dual lines. This allows you to send calls to a different line in your home or small office. You can hook up a two-line cell phone directly to a single-line answering machine. Doing so allows the answering machine to record all messages received on both lines.
