How to Remove Melted Denim From a Carpet
The Lycra or rubber compounds in stretchable jeans can cause them to melt to carpets. Once the melted denim dries, it will harden and will be stuck to the carpet. Remove the melted denim as soon as you notice it to help keep your carpet looking pristine and new. Prevent melted denim by turning off curling and straightening irons or space heaters when you are not using them or when you are not in the room. Does this Spark an idea?

Pick off as much of the melted denim as possible. You may be able to remove most if not all of the melted denim this way.

Apply nail polish remover to a clean cloth.

Dab the nail polish remover on the melted denim on the carpet. The acetone in the nail polish remover will soften the rubber compounds in the denim and will dissolve them.

Pick off the rest of the denim residue that has now softened.

Mix 1/4 tsp. liquid dish soap with 1 cup lukewarm water.

Dab the soapy solution to the area to remove any remaining denim residue.

Soak up the cleaning solution with a clean cloth.

Spray water over the area to rinse out the nail polish remover and soap.

Soak up the water with a clean cloth.
